Thoughts

As you face yet one more call, show up at one more interview, or try to cheerfully handle one more rejection letter it’s easy to think everything depends on you alone. While all these experiences may be perfectly normal in the search process, it’s tough to keep going sometimes. So stop for a few minutes and put this promise to work. Sit still and wait for the Lord to show up for you. Expect to see His hand in your circumstances. Let hope rise up in you as you go back over all His promises. Don’t stop doing this until you feel strength and power come back into you. Get help from strong spiritual friends. Sing praises and do whatever you have to do to encourage yourself as you wait for the Lord to renew your strength so you can fly again.

WORDS OF LIFE:

  • I am renewed and strengthened day by day because I wait on the Lord.
  • I am able to stand and endure because I trust in the Lord.
  • My hope is in God alone and every day I look for and expect great good.

Word of the Day

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. (Amplified)
